Singer-songwriter Woo Ye-rin will release a new song, "The lost thread of memory," on the 11th, marking the first start of 2026.
The single, "The lost thread of memory (the lost thread)," which reflects the musical journey of singer-songwriter Woo Ye-rin who sings about the sparkle and darkness of youth, depicts the irony of two characters, night and day, wandering to find each other's existence but ultimately realizing they cannot coexist in the same time.
From her previous pop–Oriental ballads, she experiments with the dreamy texture characteristic of twisted J-pop, introduces a hooky humming melody, building a progressively intensifying flow, and in the single late chorus that appears, she explodes the emotions that have been quietly piled up.
In particular, she worked with producer Lee Myung-jae, who worked on Baechigi's "My Dongpung," Kinetic Flow's "For lovers who are 2% short of reality," and MC Sniper's "To be," for the first time, creating a sonic differentiation from her previously released songs.
Woo Ye-rin, who engraved herself on the public's mind as a TOP6 finalist on K-POP STAR 5 in 2015, has continued active activities through major stages such as "Baekyuhwa," "Hwawol," "Red Rose," "Let it go," and events like MuCon Seoul 2025, GMF2025, and her solo concert
With the release of this new song, Woo Ye-rin announced the beginning of her first full-length album to be released within the year and previewed active promotions, while also saying she will soon release her first LP since debut, "flower of the day & night (flower of the day and night)."
Also, on the 13th she will have a comeback stage by performing the new song "The lost thread of memory" live on the broadcast KBS MUSIC BANK. The new song "The lost thread of memory" will be available at 6 p.m. on the 11th on all domestic and international music sites.
