Actor Ju Jihoon opened up about competing with his close friend Ha Jung-woo.
On the 10th afternoon at The Saint in Sindorim-dong, Guro District, Seoul, the production presentation for ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Climax' was held. Director Lee Ji-won and actors Ju Jihoon, Ha Jiwon, Nana, and Oh Jung-se attended the presentation and spoke.
Climax is a work that depicts prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, who jumped into a cartel of power to stand at the top position in Korea, and the fierce survival drama of those surrounding him, and it was directed by Lee Ji-won, who has been noted for delicate yet powerful direction.
Joining are trusted actors Ju Jihoon, Ha Jiwon, Nana, Oh Jung-se, and Cha Joo-young, who are expected to vividly portray the fatal relationships of characters with different desires and beliefs in the face of power and love.
On the day, Ju Jihoon explained his reason for choosing Climax: The script was simple. I am an ordinary viewer who doesn't know much about politics or prosecutors, but the situation came across in a contextually easy-to-understand way, to the point that I could understand it. It felt like the play refreshingly resolved desires that we all actually know but don't voice, like scratching an itch.
Ju Jihoon will compete at a similar time with his close actor Ha Jung-woo. Reacting to the expression "not a showdown but a showdown," Ju Jihoon joked, Not a showdown isn't a showdown, right? He added, We met not long ago and said we were happy for each other. I also hope Jung-woo hyung does well; overall, I hope Korean dramas receive positive reviews and gain momentum. We lightly said it's nice to go one after another, and I boasted that when I met the Ha actors, the chemistry was good.
Also, Ju Jihoon made a special appearance in Becoming a Building Owner in Korea. Asked which of the two works he hoped would do better, he laughed, Do I have to say? then answered, This is my lead role and that is a cameo. You can't postpone the essence.
Meanwhile, ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama Climax will premiere on Monday the 16th at 10 p.m. on ENA, and will also be available on KT Genie TV and Disney+.
