On the 9th, the tvN STORY 'Namgyeoseo Mwohage' aired, featuring Yang Hee-un and Lee Seong-mi.
Yang Hee-un recalled how she became close to Lee Seong-mi. She said, "There was no one to wake her up, so she slept on the broadcasting station sofa… I know what that is. I know by instinct. So I wanted to feed her. The world is so unfair and upsetting," explaining why she treated Lee Seong-mi to a meal.
Yang Hee-un said, "(After meals Lee Seong-mi) said she would call and come but never did. Years went by like that," expressing hurt that Lee Seong-mi did not visit her often at the time.
Yang Hee-un said, "At 30 I was given a terminal diagnosis (of ovarian cancer). It was when I was singing 'Sangnoksu'. I was given three months to live, but I lived past that. I also started working as a DJ again."
Yang Hee-un said, "(When Lee Seong-mi was battling cancer) I didn't stay very close. I thought she would get through it on her own," and Lee Seong-mi added, "She left meals and side dishes at my door. She's the type to toss things at you casually. Every time that happens I burst into tears."
Yang Hee-un said, "I had two surgeries and I am alive, so I believed Seong-mi would overcome it too." Yang Hee-un boasted of a bond like family, saying, "When my father was dying he called me and asked me to take good care of (Lee Seong-mi). He said she was a reliable person no matter when you saw her… He asked me to look after Seong-mi."
