JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) founder and chief creative officer (CCO: Chief Creative Officer) Park Jin-Young, CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Jeong Wook, and Shin Hyun-kook, JYP America CEO and chief strategy officer (CSO: Chief Strategy Officer), were named to the "2026 Billboard Global Power Players" (2026 Billboard Global Power Players).
Billboard on the 9th (local time) announced the "2026 Billboard Global Power Players" list on its official website. Billboard each year selects and publishes leaders who are driving the global music market outside the United States. From 2014 to 2024 it was announced as the "Billboard International Power Players," and Park Jin-Young was named to that category in 2014.
In particular, the three JYP executives Park Jin-Young, Jeong Wook and Shin Hyun-kook earlier this January were ranked 12th in the multi-sector category of the "2026 Billboard Power 100," which selects influential figures in the global music industry by sector, and their inclusion in this "Billboard Global Power Players" list again highlighted their influence.
In January, Billboard noted, "JYP posted record revenue in the second quarter of 2025. In that quarter, Stray Kids' 'largest-ever' world tour produced concert and merchandise sales increases of 342% and 356%, respectively. Moreover, through 13 North American shows, it drew about 491,000 attendees and posted $76.2 million in revenue, which, by Billboard Boxscore standards, represents the highest attendance and revenue achieved by a K-pop tour in North America," drawing attention. It also cited the artist development capabilities of K-pop agencies as a competitive strength, saying JYP has successfully launched and developed numerous prominent artists.
