Actor Oh Jung-se spoke about his relationship with Cha Joo-young in "Climax."
On the afternoon of the 10th, a production presentation for ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama "Climax" was held at The Saint in Sindorim-dong, Guro District, Seoul. Director Lee Ji-won and actors Ju Jihoon, Ha Jiwon, Nana, and Oh Jung-se attended the production presentation and spoke.
"Climax" is a work that depicts prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, who jumped into a cartel of power to stand at the top position in Korea, and the fierce survival struggle of those around him, directed by Lee Ji-won, who has been noted for delicate yet powerful direction.
Joining are reliable actors Ju Jihoon, Ha Jiwon, Nana, Oh Jung-se, and Cha Joo-young, who are expected to vividly portray the deadly relationships of characters with different desires and convictions in the face of power and love.
That day director Lee Ji-won took on her first drama directing job with "Climax." Attending a production presentation for the first time since 2018's "Miss Baek," Lee Ji-won said, I made one more film after Miss Baek opened in 2018, but it did not get released and "Climax" is the one that is reaching viewers first, so it feels new. I feel like I might throw up a little. Rather than being nervous about this event, I made this work with every ounce of my sweat and tears, so I am curious and excited to see how people will receive it.
Next, the actors introduced themselves. Ju Jihoon opened by saying, I play prosecutor Bang Tae-seop. He gets entangled in various incidents, has no connections, no backing, and no family, so he suffers and, seeing no chance of success, struggles with great desire to try to climb upward.
Next, Ha Jiwon explained, The character I play, Chu Sang-a, exists in an emotional state where a glamorous past and a present that is very unstable and shaken coexist. I played actor Chu Sang-a, who is acting out the desire to become the best again and cold calculation, and the human interior that trembles within that.
Nana said, I am Bang Tae-seop's secret informant. The role I play is a part that becomes a big spoiler in this drama, so I cannot say exactly what kind of person she is. So she is a character shrouded in a veil. If you watch the drama, you will be able to know Jeong-won, and Oh Jung-se said, The character I played, Kwon Jong-wook, is a second-generation chaebol who both wields the power I have and is also swayed by power.
Hearing this, Ju Jihoon introduced, She is actress Cha Joo-young's son, and Oh Jung-se said, She is my mother. On set she kept calling me mom, mom, which made people laugh.
Meanwhile, ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama "Climax" will premiere on Monday the 16th at 10 p.m. on ENA and will also be available on KT Jini TV and Disney+.
