"Honor: their court" Yeonwoo-jin ran amok, even threatening Jung Eun-Chae's life to achieve warped justice. Lee Na-young rescuing Jung Eun-Chae and uncovering the true identity of mastermind Yeonwoo-jin has driven tension to a peak ahead of tonight (10th)'s finale, and ratings have risen.
On the 10th, according to Nielsen Korea's paid TV households, the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Honor: their court' (written by Park Ga-yeon, directed by Park Geon-ho, abbreviated as Honor) episode 11 that aired on the 9th recorded nationwide 4.4% and metropolitan area 4.1%, marking its highest ratings to date.
In that episode it was revealed why Baek Tae-ju (Yeonwoo-jin), who created the secret prostitution app "Connect-in," deliberately approached Kang Shin-jae (Jung Eun-Chae). Twenty years ago, a rookie actress, Seo Ji-yun, who was forced to provide sex as a bribe and committed suicide, was his biological older sister. Having been adopted to the United States as a child, when he returned as an adult to find his sister it was already too late. His hacking and reporting of the sex-bribe list also came to nothing. All involved were cleared due to insufficient evidence. The root of that cartel was the tidal wave of Seong Tae-im (Kim Mi-sook), who stole the list and wielded every legal technique. To Baek Tae-ju, Tae-im was a legacy code that had to disappear, and with his daughter Kang Shin-jae bringing down her mother with her own hands the impact would be even stronger.
Kang Shin-jae also joined Baek Tae-ju's vengeance project that he had planned over the past 20 years. What had once made her proud — her mother's lawyer badge — was meant to protect those who sought to hoard more, and she faced the reality that there would be no end unless she stopped it herself. The hope of planting flowers in a minefield of injustice and corruption was self-deception, and concluding there was no way other than to throw herself into the flames, she directly reported to the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) all the power deals led by Tae-im and the "Connect-in" user corruptions and other evidence Baek Tae-ju had collected.
Yoon Ra-young (Lee Na-young), who was released after proving self-defense with a recorded video submitted by Kang Shin-jae, could not understand any of this. The video was clearly filmed by her daughter Han Min-seo (Jeon Soyoung), but it was unclear how Kang Shin-jae had obtained it. Moreover, she unexpectedly moved to dissolve the law firm L&J (Listen & Join), saying, "Let's stop tearing ourselves apart," and became an internal informant against Tae-im. At that time, Hong Yeon-hee (Baek Eun-hye) brought a USB she said she found in her husband Park Jae-yeol's (Seo Hyun-woo) car. It contained a recorded phone conversation in which the developer of "Connect-in" deliberately approached him to induce crime. Realizing that the person who manipulated the missing Han Min-seo to expose sexual exploitation videos and who made Park Jae-yeol an administrator was the same individual, Yoon Ra-young confirmed that Baek Tae-ju was the one who had pushed her daughter into the flames and was stunned.
Yoon Ra-young's suspicion that Baek Tae-ju had held Han Min-seo hostage so she could not act even if his identity was exposed also proved true. Baek Tae-ju even showed chilling cruelty by preparing a forged death certificate for the Han Min-seo he had confined in a psychiatric hospital. Tracking the phone signal that rang as Han Min-seo tried to escape, Yoon Ra-young found her chart at the hospital, but she never found her daughter. Even after urgently informing Kang Shin-jae of this, she was met with cold betrayal. Watching Kang Shin-jae walk away saying it might be safer for her to stay there and there was no evidence linking Baek Tae-ju, Yoon Ra-young could not move a step.
Then an unprecedented twist unfolded. Kang Shin-jae had pretended to help Baek Tae-ju while secretly rescuing Han Min-seo and moving her to a safe place. She even hid this fact from Yoon Ra-young for fear Baek Tae-ju would notice. At the same time, she prepared a plan to expose his true colors at a demonstration where Baek Tae-ju would explain the Smart City technology of "The Prime" to the public. On the day of the demonstration, Kang Shin-jae, collaborating with hacker Ahn Dong-je (Kim Moon-gi), succeeded in duplicating Baek Tae-ju's fingerprint and planting code on the main server that would expose his crimes.
Meanwhile, Baek Tae-ju, having checked CCTV around the psychiatric hospital and confirmed Kang Shin-jae's car and her true intentions, moved a step ahead. Showing Yoon Ra-young a screen of an unconscious Kang Shin-jae at the demonstration site, he pressured her with the fact that if the clean extinguishing gas installed in the server room were released, oxygen would drop to 0% within three minutes. Then he left a chilling warning: "How many minutes could Shin-jae survive without oxygen? If you don't want to know, shut up," and calmly went up to the stage as if nothing happened, leaving Yoon Ra-young shocked and confused about how to save Kang Shin-jae.
Now all the truth has been revealed. The finale of 'Honor,' in which the L&J lawyers Yoon Ra-young, Kang Shin-jae, and Hwang Hyun-jin (Lee Chung-ah) face Baek Tae-ju's final showdown and which has driven curiosity to a peak about what ending it will lead to, will air tonight at 10 p.m.<
