ENHYPEN Heeseung, who announced he was turning solo, personally expressed his feelings about becoming independent from the team.
On the 10th, ENHYPEN Heeseung posted a handwritten letter on the official fan community Weverse and shared his position on future activities.
He said "To me, the six years were a time filled with moments so overwhelming and precious that words cannot capture them. The members with whom I shared countless emotions, and ENGENE, who always filled that empty space so fully, thanks to you I was able to take steps toward a dream that once seemed unreachable. And that time will be one of the shining moments I will never forget for the rest of my life. I will never forget those moments, and I want to be someone who continues to cheer for ENHYPEN more than anyone else," he began.
He continued, "I shared the results of the work I have done with the company and spent a long time discussing and talking with many people about the best way to present this, and after long consideration I made the major decision to follow the direction suggested by the company in order to approach ENGENE with a better image," explaining the reason for his independence.
Heeseung said, "As ENGENE know, I have continued personal work and spent a lot of time hoping to show it to ENGENE. There were so many things I wanted to show, but I also did not want to put my own desires ahead of the team," and "I know your concerns and the many things being said. I will work hard to prepare to meet you again as soon as possible," he previewed a new look.
He added, "My desire to come to you in a better way is more sincere than anyone else's. As ENGENE who always gave endless love and affection to an imperfect me, I feel many apologies because I know how surprised and worried you must be. I think it comes from how much you have cared about and taken an interest in me. I will carry in my heart the great love ENGENE has shown me and run forward. ENGENE! Thank you and I love you."
Meanwhile, Heeseung debuted and promoted in November 2020 as a member of Belift Lab Inc.'s seven-member boy group ENHYPEN under HYBE. But on the 10th, label Belift Lab Inc. announced in an official statement, "Our company has been considering and discussing the direction and next goals ENHYPEN should pursue. We had in-depth conversations about each member's envisioned future and the team's direction, and in that process we confirmed that Heeseung's musical orientation is clear and decided to respect that," announcing Heeseung's independence and ENHYPEN's transition to a six-member formation.
