Former national fencing representative Nam Hyun-hee, following claims of her ex-husband's affair, has hinted at additional disclosures including revealing real names.
On the 9th, Nam Hyun-hee posted on her social account "The acts of a home-wrecker.." This was an additional post she uploaded one month after alleging her ex-husband's affair.
Earlier, on the 9th of last month Nam Hyun-hee posted, "I divorced because of the other woman. People are insulting me saying they divorced because of me," and appealed her grievance, "It is so unfair. I will disclose all the evidence and reveal the truth. I have nothing more to lose."
Along with this, she shared a KakaoTalk conversation from Aug. 30, 2021. The captured image contained the message "I got in. You must be sleeping well. Good night" with a lips emoticon, and in response to the other person's question "Are you on your way?" she replied "I'm here. Thanks for your hard work today," to which the other person answered, "Yeah, oppa, you worked hard too. Fighting."
She did not specify exactly who was conversing, but from Nam Hyun-hee's post it is presumed to be between her ex-husband and the person she claims is the other woman.
Earlier, Nam Hyun-hee married a cyclist in 2011 and gave birth to a daughter in 2013. However, 12 years later, in 2023, she announced a belated agreed divorce and said she would take custody of their daughter. Later she announced a marriage to the notorious con artist Jeon Cheong-jo, and when Jeon Cheong-jo's marriage-by-fraud history was revealed the marriage collapsed. Jeon Cheong-jo was sentenced to 13 years in prison on charges including fraud, and Nam Hyun-hee was also embroiled in fraud allegations and a damages lawsuit worth 1,000 but she was cleared after it was recognized that, like other victims, she had been deceived by Jeon Cheong-jo.
Nevertheless, Nam Hyun-hee could not escape damage to her image. In addition, a coach affiliated with the fencing academy she ran was found to have committed sex crimes against underage students, and for acts such as failing to take proactive measures despite knowing this, she received heavy disciplinary action from the fencing association.
Amid this, Nam Hyun-hee suddenly attracted attention by alleging her ex-husband's affair. In an additional post about a month later she appealed, "Please prevent an unfair outcome. The truth must come out as it is. If an injustice occurs I will not remain silent. I will write the two XXs' names on A4 paper and get them into big trouble. I want a truthful outcome. I want to correct this," signaling that further revelations will follow.
