MBC '2025 가요대제전' global streaming proceeds will be donated to a forest creation project in Nepal.
On the 10th, MBC said it partnered its global K-POP platform MuNiverse with the '2025 가요대제전' global streaming service to carry out a donation project with the international child rights NGO Save the Children that expands K-POP global fandom participation into social value.
The proceeds raised through the project were donated to a forest creation project in Nepal, through which a total of 6,920 trees will be planted locally in Nepal. That corresponds to a forest area about six times the size of a soccer field, and once the forest is completed, commemorative signs bearing the names of the artists who participated in this '2025 가요대제전' global streaming donation project will be installed locally.
The handover ceremony related to this donation was held on the 5th, and at the event, '2025 가요대제전' CP Choi Haeng-ho attended and delivered the forest creation donation to Save the Children. This project is part of Save the Children's "My Forest Child" project being carried out in Nepal, aiming for environmental restoration and climate awareness activities involving children and local communities to protect children whose lives are threatened by frequent floods, landslides and other climate change impacts.
A MuNiverse official at MBC said, "Following '2025 팬육대', it is meaningful that we can create significant social value together with global K-POP fans through '2025 가요대제전'," and added, "We plan to continue various projects that can spread positive influence through K-POP content and fan participation."
