SHINee member Onew has returned with a more solid musical depth.
Onew released the full audio of mini album 5 'TOUGH LOVE' and the music video for the title track 'TOUGH LOVE' on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 9th.
Returning with a new album about eight months after releasing his second full-length album 'PERCENT' in July last year, Onew challenged himself with composition for the first time and as a solo artist embarked on another expansion of his musical territory.
On Onew's mini album 5 'TOUGH LOVE,' not only did Onew participate in writing the lyrics for all tracks, he also is credited among the composers of the title track 'TOUGH LOVE' and the track 'Lie,' densely conveying his unique musical color. The structure, which weaves 'the various facets of love' we encounter in the world into a single novel-like composition, is impressive as it moves away from common love stories.
The title track 'TOUGH LOVE' is the result of close collaboration after Onew met face-to-face with well-known overseas writers. The song's structure is also dramatic. In the early sections, Onew's characteristic lyrical and sweet vocals increase emotional immersion, and the powerful drop that bursts out in the chorus provides auditory pleasure.
