KickFlip today (the 9th) released the pre-release track "Twenty" and sings the beginning of a radiant youth.
KickFlip will officially release their new mini album My First Kick on Apr. 6. Ahead of that, at 6 p.m. on Mar. 9 they will first present the song and music video for "Twenty" to warm up comeback momentum.
The new song "Twenty" is a track notable for its driving rock-based sound. It likens the end of the teenage years to a graduation ceremony to unravel complex, subtle emotions, and the added excitement about a new beginning increases listeners' immersion. Maknae Donghyun directly participated in the songwriting for "Twenty," following work on the mini 3rd album My First Flip tracks "It's a secret that I had a nightmare" and "The first song I sing," which recorded their first win on terrestrial music shows, completing the group's signature refreshing sensibility.
The previously released music video teaser, with its verdant visuals, evokes a youth film and raises curiosity about the full version. The phrase in the teaser video "AT THE EDGE OF OUR TEENS, THE JOURNEY BEGINS INTO "TWENTY"" conveys the song's message and expresses the excitement toward the curtain-raising of youth that KickFlip, with all members entering their early 20s, will portray.
Following the debut album Flip it, Kick it!, mini 2nd album Kick Out, Flip Now!, and mini 3rd album My First Flip, in which they imbued every track including title songs with sincerity, KickFlip is expected to once again reveal their musical passion with the new release "Twenty."
Meanwhile, KickFlip will release the song and music video for "Twenty" at 6 p.m. on the 9th. Then at 6 p.m. on Apr. 6 they will officially release the mini 4th album My First Kick, which includes the pre-release track, and step up their activities as a K-pop super rookie.
