The gaming YouTuber Sutak, who had suffered kidnapping·assault, asked for help with victim impact statements related to the perpetrators' trial.
On the 9th, Sutak wrote on a post on his YouTube channel, "I am currently collecting victim impact statements related to the trial, so I wrote this to ask for your help."
Sutak also shared his feelings since the incident. He said, "It has been four months since I went through a robbery, kidnapping and attempted murder, and about two months since my comeback," and confessed, "Counting the days makes me realize again that not much time has passed."
He then expressed gratitude to viewers. Sutak said, "I worried that you might not be able to enjoy my broadcasts comfortably because of the incident, so I tried to lighten the mood," and added, "I feel grateful that you avoid mentioning the incident and treat me as usual."
He also reported on his current health. He said, "Only scar treatment on my forehead and a few psychological counseling sessions remain," and added, "Double vision, photopsia and facial sensory problems from a finger fracture and orbital fracture need more time to be observed, but they are gradually improving."
He also confessed that he felt mixed emotions upon recently having a birthday. Sutak said, "My birthday was March 7, and I felt complex emotions thinking that I might not have been able to celebrate a birthday like this again," and said, "I am grateful that I can make memories with you again, and the moments feel more precious."
Sutak also mentioned the perpetrators' trial. He said, "The trial for the perpetrators is currently underway, and I hear they submitted more than 40 letters of apology," and lamented, "As the victim, honestly, I feel resentful and angry."
He then asked for fans' help, saying, "If you want to give direct help regarding the incident, I would appreciate it if you could write a victim impact statement through the L.I.N.C link."
Earlier, Sutak was kidnapped and assaulted by two men in their 20s to 30s in an apartment basement parking lot in Songdo, Incheon, last year. Police arrested the kidnappers at a cemetery park in Geumsan, Chungbuk, and it was found that they had planned to lure the victim under the pretext of a vehicle contract issue to steal money and valuables.
As a result of the incident, Sutak suffered serious injuries including an orbital fracture and ring finger fracture, 35 stitches to his forehead and jaw, and decreased vision and hearing.
