On the 9th, Park Shin-hye's agency Salt Entertainment released Park Shin-hye's finale comments and a one-question, one-answer following the conclusion on the 8th of the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama Undercover Miss Hong (writer Moon Hyun-kyung, directors Park Sun-ho and Na Ji-hyun, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Celltrion Entertainment and Studio Dragon), in which she received overwhelming love from viewers as the irreplaceable protagonist Hong Geum-bo.

Q. Undercover Miss Hong has completed its 16-episode run. How do you feel about the series ending?
A. First, I am truly happy that Undercover Miss Hong was able to end safely amid the love of so many people. Honestly, I never expected it to receive such great love, so I am extremely grateful. In particular, Undercover Miss Hong was a project with so many actors. Being able to work with such wonderful actors was the greatest joy and happiness for me. I feel even happier that everyone involved is receiving love as we end.
Q. Yeouido witch! securities supervisor Hong Geum-bo and the do-re-mi-fa-sol~ lovable 20-year-old Hong Jang-mi… When portraying such a changeable setting and characters, was there anything you focused on?
A. I tried to preserve Hong Geum-bo's 'professional moments' that inevitably popped out from time to time while also not missing Jang-mi's fresh and bold side. The hardest part seemed to be showing the cold securities supervisor Hong Geum-bo disguising herself as 20-year-old Hong Jang-mi without exaggeration, at the proper temperature. There were moments when I worried that I might play Jang-mi too comically, but after the broadcast viewers actually liked those scenes more, so I felt really relieved. (laughs)
Q. Undercover Miss Hong drew attention for the shining chemistry among characters from dormitory 301 to the crisis management headquarters to the securities regulator. Can you talk about the on-set rapport and any scenes that remain especially memorable?
A. This project truly involved many actors, and I was genuinely happy on set to meet such good actors through the work. From seniors full of experience to juniors overflowing with energy and ideas… while acting together I felt the characters in the script came alive in the right places. Every time I acted a scene, it felt like every beat fit perfectly. So it's really hard to pick just one memorable scene. Many things happened in dormitory 301 and at the crisis management headquarters, so everything that happened there remains memorable.
Q. If you had to pick just one of the most impressive lines from the drama for actor Park Shin-hye, what would it be?
A. I want to choose, "Hello, I'm Hong, Jang-mi. I am 20 this year." It was the line that appeared in scenes where securities supervisor Hong Geum-bo begins her undercover infiltration in earnest. It seems to have been the line that announces the start of the story, so it is the most memorable.
Q. Were there any comments you enjoyed during the broadcast or reactions that stood out?
A. I appreciated and was happy with all the comments, but personally I found the comments about the chemistry between Hong Geum-bo and Go Bok-hee particularly entertaining. (laughs)
Q. How do you think Undercover Miss Hong will be remembered by actor Park Shin-hye?
A. A work in which I met good people. Therefore it will be remembered as a precious project that made me resolve to become a better person in the future.
