That day Jang Hang-jun recalled episodes from his past with fellow directors, bringing laughter. He especially recounted an anecdote involving director Kim Sang-jin, who had received a large incentive.
Jang Hang-jun recalled, "It was the time when director Kim Sang-jin's directing fee came in, and he received quite a bit of incentive," and said, "While we were driving, he asked, 'Just give me 30,000 won.'" He added, "That brother said he wouldn't give it because it was noisy. So I also said, 'You have no conscience,' and an argument started," he said. He said, "Director Kang Yoon, who was beside us, couldn't stand it and said, 'Just give him 30,000 won,' but he still refused to give it," and "they kept bickering even after the car left."
Eventually the watching actor Sul Kyung-gu stepped in. Jang Hang-jun said, "Sul Kyung-gu, unable to bear it, said, 'I'll give it!'" and "So I agreed and it passed with a pleasant smile," he said.
But the story did not end there. Jang Hang-jun recalled, "Maybe he remembered it again at the drinking party, director Kim Sang-jin put 30,000 won in my pocket saying he would give it," and "I went home in a good mood." He added, "The next morning when I checked, it wasn't 30,000 won but 12,000 won. There was one 10,000-won bill and two 1,000-won bills," and "for a moment I thought, 'What is this bastard?'" which provoked laughter. Jang Hang-jun recalled bursting into laughter as he said, "So I called him right away and scolded him, 'Are you kidding me now?'"
