NCT Yuta is drawing attention for participating in the theme song of the Japanese drama series "Kamen Rider Jets."
The theme song "PLAY BACK (TV size)" (Play Back), which Yuta sang for the TV Asahi drama series "Kamen Rider Jets," was released on various global music sites at 12 a.m. on March 8 and has drawn strong reactions from viewers.
The new song "PLAY BACK" is a rock track notable for its aggressive guitar sound and a beat reminiscent of 2000s punk; the lyrics convey the psyche wavering between reality and dreams and a strong will to defy fate and choose for oneself, and Yuta's distinctive intense vocals further amplify the song's energy.
Also, "Kamen Rider Jets" is a new season of Japan's representative drama "Kamen Rider," which has continued for 55 years since its first broadcast in 1971, and Yuta's participation as the theme song vocalist for a work he enjoyed since childhood adds a special touch while once again underscoring his unique influence in the local market.
Yuta performed at Nippon Budokan, considered an iconic venue in Japan, in January this year, marking a glamorous finale to his first solo concert tour, and he has been firmly establishing himself as a "rock star" in the local market, such as reaching No. 1 on the Oricon rock album weekly ranking with the first full-length album he released in October last year, "PERSONA" (Persona).
Meanwhile, the film "Specials," starring Yuta, is set to open in Korea on March 13.
