Actor Park Hye-su has put a period on her 11-year journey with her agency.
On the 8th, Park Hye-su's agency Ghost Studio told OSEN that "it is true that the exclusive contract with Park Hye-su has expired."
Earlier, Park Hye-su had signed an exclusive contract in 2015 with Sim Entertainment, the predecessor of Ghost Studio, and continued the relationship. However, with the recent expiration of the exclusive contract and the decision not to renew it, she has left the company she had been with for 11 years.
After debuting as an actor in the 2015 SBS drama "Yong-pal," Park Hye-su appeared in the films "Will You Be There?", "Swing Kids", "The 3rd Charm English TOEIC class", and the dramas "Age of Youth", "Introverted Boss", and "Saimdang, Memoir of Colors," making her mark with the public.
However, she had to suspend activities in 2021 when allegations of school violence arose ahead of the release of the drama "Dear.M." At the time, Park Hye-su dismissed the school violence allegations as "groundless," but she could not avoid damage to her image due to the collective testimonies of those claiming to be victims.
Ultimately, amid the sharp confrontation between the two sides, Park Hye-su, who had stopped activities, started her comeback with the 2023 film "You and I," and later reported that she is proceeding with legal action against netizens who claimed school violence.
Meanwhile, in July last year, the previously postponed drama "Dear.M" starring Park Hye-su was released as a KBS2 Wed-Thu drama, and news that Park Hye-su is running a cafe in Paju drew attention.
Regarding the school violence allegations against Park Hye-su, the agency said, "The investigative agency transferred the case (with a recommendation for indictment) on the grounds that the accused significantly harmed the complainants' social evaluation by stating false facts, and additional investigations are currently underway," adding, "Separately from the criminal complaint, a civil suit for damages has also been filed on the grounds of defamation by stating false facts. However, since the accused's residence is unknown, service of the complaint has been delayed for several months."
