Pop star Britney Spears fired all the professionals helping her recovery just weeks before she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to a TMZ report on the 6th (local time), Britney fired her sobriety coaches immediately after signing a contract to sell her music publishing rights and returning from a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico.
It was also reported that the dedicated team significantly reorganized the people around her, including security guards who had been closely monitoring and protecting her.
Earlier, Britney Spears was arrested on the night of the 4th on suspicion of driving under the influence, and controversy arose as she was believed to have combined alcohol and drugs at the time. Shortly after the arrest, she was taken to a nearby hospital for blood and drug tests, and while going through procedures at the detention center she reportedly cried continuously and showed extreme emotional distress.
In this regard, U.S. outlet Entertainment Tonight reported on the 6th that Britney's dedicated team is reviewing a treatment plan for her.
According to the report, Britney herself is said to have expressed willingness to follow a new treatment and support plan, and the dedicated team said it is considering mental health services, detox programs, and approaches that treat substance dependence and mental health issues simultaneously.
The team also added that they hope the judge will order legal treatment rather than hand down a prison sentence for this case.
Meanwhile, Britney Spears was processed into custody at 3:02 a.m. on the 5th and was released at 6:07 a.m. A formal indictment hearing is scheduled for May 4.
