The group i-dle (i-dle) member Yuqi proved her singular influence in the Chinese-speaking market.
Yuqi was recently selected as one of the winners of Tencent Music's "Women of the Year in Music 2026," released by Tencent Music of China.
Under the theme "Where she is, there is light (在 自有光)," Yuqi was listed as one of the female artists who achieved outstanding results on the Tencent Music platform and in the Chinese music market during 2025.
Tencent Music cited "yuanqi (元, overflowing energy)" as a keyword symbolizing Yuqi and said, "Last year she participated in the lyrics and composition of the entire single 'MOTIVATION,' showing talent as a next-generation female singer-songwriter. The title track 'M.O.' not only reached No. 1 in Korea but also achieved outstanding results in China."
Yuqi's influence was proven by the numbers. On Tencent Music's Korea chart she recorded 147 chart entries and 122 TOP20 entries, and in 2025 she won Tencent Music Korea chart artist of the year, solo artist of the year, song of the year ('FREAK'), and EP/single of the year ('Motivation').
Yuqi's solo songs "Radio (Dum-Dum)" and "FREAK" each earned Tencent Music gold certification. In particular, the digital single she released last March, "Radio (Dum-Dum)," remained in the TOP10 of the Tencent Music Korea chart for 50 consecutive weeks after its release and continues to set new weekly records, sustaining a long-running success.
In addition, Yuqi attracted attention by performing the Shanghai Disneyland 10th anniversary theme song "Magic Together."
The members of i-dle (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua), the group to which Yuqi belongs, held "2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation] IN TAIPEI" at the Taipei Dome in Taipei on the 7th and met local fans. i-dle became the first K-pop girl group to perform at the Taipei Dome, and tickets sold out immediately after the reservation opened, eliciting an explosive response.
