Kep1er's Seo Yeong-eun released an official announcement of her departure from the team eight months after suspending activities, and she personally shared her thoughts.
On the 7th, Seo Yeong-eun posted a long message on her social media saying, "From my 2022 debut until now, thanks to the overwhelming love you have all shown me, I was able to stand on stage as a brighter Seo Yeong-eun at every moment, and all those memories felt like a dream to me."
She said, "Although team activities have come to an end, the time I spent with Kep1er and Kep1ans was a treasure that I could not exchange for anything."
She continued, "From now on, I will prepare to write a wonderful new chapter for Seo Yeong-eun," and added, "I will grow into someone who is not shameful to those who waited and those who will wait, so until the day we meet again, I hope everyone stays healthy in body and mind."
Earlier on the 6th, Kep1er said, "Seo Yeong-eun has finished her team activities," and explained that they will continue activities as a six-member group.
Meanwhile, Kep1er is a group formed through Mnet's global project 'Girls Planet 999: The Girls Saga.' Seo Yeong-eun temporarily suspended team activities in July last year due to deteriorating health, and accordingly she did not participate in Kep1er's August comeback and concert tour.
