Former baseball player Yang Jun-hyuk shared that he is currently living in Pohang.
On the 19th, KBS2's 'The Bosses' Ears Are Donkey Ears' featured Yang Jun-hyuk and his wife hosting a housewarming at their Pohang home with family.
That day Yang Jun-hyuk said, "Finally, I moved to Pohang," his wife Park Hyun-sun explained, "Because we kept staying in temporary housing, the wind here really blows a lot. The baby kept catching colds, so it was a bit hard and we had to move quickly."
Later in the broadcast, Yang Jun-hyuk's Pohang home, which featured an open ocean view, was revealed. Park Myung Soo asked, "Is it owned?" and Yang Jun-hyuk replied, "It's not owned right now. It's a jeonse rental," adding, "My fish farm is only a 10-minute distance, so I can go back and forth immediately."
After finishing the move, Yang Jun-hyuk invited his family and prepared a housewarming, personally making and serving amberjack katsu. But the panel booed at Yang Jun-hyuk's messy preparation, and Jun Hyun-moo revealed, "'Qualifications of Men' did it like this too. He always does it sloppily and then says, 'The PD edited it weirdly so my image...' He always messes up and blames others," which drew laughter.
Soon after, Yang Jun-hyuk's father-in-law and mother-in-law visited the house. Yang Jun-hyuk explained, "While running the amberjack business, my wife's family helped a lot. I wanted to show them the house, so I brought them all and had a meal today."
Yang Jun-hyuk let the two taste the amberjack katsu he made. He introduced it as a "new menu," and his mother-in-law, who has 20 years of experience working in a school cafeteria, praised, "The batter turned out well."
Yang Jun-hyuk was pleased, saying, "My mother-in-law can't lie," but in an interview with the production team, his mother-in-law frankly admitted, "I couldn't say it to his face, but the frying is thickly coated so the taste isn't great..." Seeing this, Yang Jun-hyuk insisted, "To me it tasted good," which provoked laughter.
By contrast, the sashimi restaurant's head chef, his father-in-law, delivered a blunt remark: "I don't really like it. It's not something to put on a restaurant menu. When you run a business you need some margin, but I don't think the margin will work out."
Soon after, his wife's cousin and then his brother-in-law's family arrived one after another, and they ate together while talking. When asked, "Is the restaurant doing well these days?" Yang Jun-hyuk revealed, "On weekends the waiting list is almost 100 teams. Sales are about 20 million won a day. On weekends we can't go anywhere. Friday, Saturday and Sunday," surprising everyone.
He said, "I'm going all out as if my life depends on it," and Park Hyun-sun's cousin said bluntly, "It looks like you're having a hard time. Wasn't there an article before saying you have a 19-year age gap? It really looks like a 19-year difference (in faces)," which drew laughter.
Then Park Hyun-sun said playfully, "People misunderstood me and said I married my husband for his money," asking jokingly, "Where is the 10 billion won?" Yang Jun-hyuk emphasized, "Actually I got married when I hit rock bottom." Kim Sook asked, "Did you meet when all four businesses failed? Then you didn't have any assets," and Yang Jun-hyuk firmly replied, "I didn't have any."
