On the 21st episode of the full-fledged real street food documentary 'Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3,' which aired on the 6th, Jun Hyun-moo-KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin) and actress Pyo Ye-jin presented a special feature 'everything about Jeju seafood.' They conquered everything from locally famous 'okdom muckguk' restaurants carefully selected in the 'food heaven' Jeju to Jeju market-style 'bomal kalguksu,' and a master restaurant holding the world's first patent for 'dageumbari hoechigi,' gifting viewers a proper culinary travel experience.
That day, Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube, who visited Jeju, started by raising the mood as they sang 'Gamsunggwang' and 'Jeju-do's blue night,' respectively. Jun Hyun-moo said, "It's a blessing that Korea has Jeju," and shouted, "There are so many things to eat in Jeju, so let's sort them out." The first meal was the 'treasure of Jeju,' okdom. At a Jeju local restaurant known as the 'pick' of Jeju government officials, the two faced okdom muckguk, which took first place among broth lovers. Jun Hyun-moo said, "You savor each piece of (okdom) meat like fine dining," and enjoyed it elegantly, while KwakTube slurped the shredded radish full in the soup and described it as, "It tastes like noodles," completing a 'polar opposite' mukbang. When 'grilled fresh okdom' appeared, the two marveled, "The definition of crispy outside, moist inside has changed today."
After filling their stomachs, they met muk friend Pyo Ye-jin and headed to a bomal kalguksu restaurant near Moseulpo Port's 'Daejeong Oil Market.' When KwakTube received the deep green-looking kalguksu, he quipped, "Is there fried tofu in it? Maybe because I'm a married man~" and threw out an old-man joke out of nowhere. Pyo Ye-jin said with a straight face, "Sorry, I'm embarrassed because I can't react~." At that reaction, KwakTube invoked the drama 'Taxi Driver,' in which Pyo Ye-jin appeared, saying, "A taxi will come soon," causing uproarious laughter. But the joking stopped with a spoonful of the broth. After tasting the bomal kalguksu, Pyo Ye-jin praised it, "You must come here. It's really delicious," and KwakTube also gave a thumbs-up, saying, "It's classy and rich." After finishing the rice mixed into the broth and hitting the peak of the bomal course, the three naturally moved into an honest conversation.
At that moment Jun Hyun-moo asked Pyo Ye-jin, "I heard you were the youngest flight attendant?" Pyo Ye-jin answered, "I started as a flight attendant at only 19, but I quit after a year and a half." She continued, "You go to new countries and meet new people, but when I looked ahead 10 years I felt stifled. So I quit and entered the path of acting." But she said her parents opposed her shift to acting at the time. Pyo Ye-jin recalled the hard time, saying, "My father completely cut off conversation, and my mother cried with me and was upset." Still, she smiled brightly, saying, "Now my parents like it more than anyone," and warmed hearts by saying, "I definitely want to tell my father about this restaurant."
The three then moved to Sagye Port and visited a dageumbari restaurant called 'the final boss of Jeju seafood.' There, they tried a dageumbari that can cost about 2.4 million won per fish and burst into genuine reactions, saying, "It's full and savory," and "The flesh is strong and chewy." KwakTube even joked, "I tried it once before, but I don't think that was a dageumbari," drawing laughs. Then a plate of 'dageumbari special parts,' prepared using the stomach, liver, lips, cheek meat, nape, skin, fins, and eyeballs, was presented and the atmosphere heated up. Jun Hyun-moo and Pyo Ye-jin bickered as they tried to offer each other the 'eyeballs,' causing laughter on site.
KwakTube, who tasted the eyeball first, vividly described an unappealing flavor, saying, "It doesn't smell, but when you chew the pupil it feels a bit... the taste of chewing eye muscles is really nice." The remaining eyeball was Jun Hyun-moo's. But Jun Hyun-moo insisted on feeding the eyeball to Pyo Ye-jin, declaring an unexpected flex, "Should I spend 2.4 million won again?" which made everyone burst out laughing.
