Earlier, the film directed by Jang Hang-jun, "The King's Warden," surpassed 10 million moviegoers on the 6th, its 31st day after release. This is Jang Hang-jun's first 10-million film and the 34th film ever to reach 10 million. It is the 25th Korean film and the fourth historical drama to reach 10 million.
Song Eun I and Jang Hang-jun met as university senior and junior and have maintained their friendship for more than 35 years. The two are also in a relationship as Media Lab Seesaw's CEO and a signed artist.
Meanwhile, "The King's Warden," set in 1457 at Cheongnyeongpo, tells the story of a village head who volunteered for exile to revive his village and a young deposed king sent into exile, and it opened on Feb. 4.
