Rookie boy group NAZE will make their official debut in Korea's music scene this May.
NAZE drew fans' attention by releasing content on their official SNS account on the 6th announcing their imminent debut. The content contained brief spoilers about NAZE's debut, piquing curiosity. In the ending scene of episode 8 of the drama "Dream Stage," which aired the same day on TBS, a subtitle appeared reading "NAZE debut set for May," further heating up expectations.
C9 Entertainment said, "NAZE has decided to debut in May and is stepping up preparations. Based on the growth narrative accumulated through all-around promotion, they will present a highly polished result," and added, "Please show much expectation and interest in NAZE's full-scale activities."
NAZE (Kaisei, Yoon-gi, Ato, Turn, Yuya, Kim Geon, Dohyeok) is C9 Entertainment's rookie boy group unveiled for the first time in about five years and the company's first multinational boy group since its founding. Even before their debut, they drew early attention after being cast in TBS's prime-time drama "Dream Stage," a terrestrial channel in Japan. "Dream Stage" was scheduled not only in Japan but also on domestic channels tvN, Channel J and TVing earlier this year, giving further momentum to NAZE's rising popularity. Portraying K-pop trainees in the drama, NAZE depicts a dream and growth story that mirrors the journey of a team preparing for an actual debut, captivating viewers at home and abroad.
Riding that buzz, NAZE has been emerging as a "next-generation Hallyu representative" by successfully carrying out various online and offline promotions linked to "Dream Stage." They directly participated in the drama's OST "Wanderlust," the theme song "BABYBOO," "Little Star," and "Isn't She Lovely?" and successfully completed drama showcase tours in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka. Unusually for rookies, they also appeared on Japan's leading music show "CDTV live! live!" and demonstrated their complete skill set on stage.
Beyond drama, music and performances, NAZE has been on a rising trajectory by covering various fields. They were invited twice to Japan's largest fashion festival "TGC" to take the stage, expanded their recognition by appearing in large local illumination events and on numerous flagship variety shows on TBS, conducted interviews and photo shoots with 19 major Japanese media outlets, and received love calls from well-known brands, proving high local interest. On TBS's official YouTube channel and Tver, Japan's private broadcaster official streaming service, they have released more than 20 episodes of the reality content "Nazedora (ナゼドリ?) ~NAZE? DREAM STAGE~," showcasing their charming team chemistry.
Having shown strong global potential even before their debut, NAZE will officially enter Korea's music scene in May and is expected to prove their limitless growth potential through full-scale musical activities.
