Brewmaster Yun Yun Na-ra said she overcame postpartum depression with Culinary Class Wars 2.
On the 7th, MBN's Kim Ju-ha's Day & Night (hereafter Day & Night) featured Brewmaster Yun Yun Na-ra and Witch with a Wok Lee Moon-jung, who appeared on Netflix's Culinary Class Wars 2.
Yun Na-ra said, "I seek out food, eat it, and when I find a delicious place I save the information and remember it so it becomes a matter of hand taste.. I'm self-taught. Making liquor made me sensitive to aromas," revealing the secret of her touch.
Yun Na-ra revealed an unexpected background. She is a graduate of Seoul Institute of the Arts' film department. Yun Na-ra said, "I might have become an actor. I was interested in production and planning," and named Lee Dong-hwi and Kwon Hyuk-soo as her classmates.
She said, "In the same department there were seniors Koo Kyo-hwan and senior Jung-woo. Jung Soon-won is also there. I like actor Ahn Jaehong; he came along. He called me 'Na-ra nim' and after watching Culinary Class Wars 2 he said, 'Na-ra, I'm so happy for you.' He suddenly let his guard down. We are the same age. He said it was very moving," she said.
Kim Ju-ha asked, "You studied your major hard, did you work in an office?" and Yun Na-ra said, "While preparing performances I tried traditional liquor, became so enamored that I searched out masters. From then I started brewing at home. It's been more than 10 years. When you think of art, you think of alcohol," she said.
Yun Na-ra said she appeared on Culinary Class Wars 2 right after giving birth. "It was about 150 days after giving birth. When I submitted the application it was because I wanted to overcome depression. I wondered whether I should give up the business I had run for seven years. I wanted to prove myself. I worked until just before full term. I also gave lectures until before childbirth. I thought postpartum depression wouldn't come, but it did. I was despondent, couldn't sleep and was very depressed. (Doing Culinary Class Wars 2) I was out of my mind," she said.
Regarding her future plans, Yun Na-ra said, "I will prepare the restaurant well and open it. I receive a lot of contact from abroad. My goal is to become a global jumo," she said.<
