The Seasons : 10CM's Pat-Pat concluded the 25-week musical journey it enjoyed with viewers.
On the night of the 6th, the final episode of KBS 2TV music talk show The Seasons : 10CM's Pat-Pat featured WOODZ, Lee Dong-hwi, Melomance's Kim Min-seok, Daybreak's Lee Won-seok·Lee Ji-hyung·Soran's Go Young-bae, and special moments closing out the six-month journey unfolded.
First, the first guest WOODZ handed MC 10CM a bouquet, making the final broadcast feel real. WOODZ, who returned with his first full-length album containing 17 tracks, confessed his musical hunger, saying, "I had a rebellious thought of 'I could do this too' in my heart." He added, "I originally put in 20 songs but removed three," revealing he compromised with a suitable rebellion, which drew laughter. WOODZ, who sometimes fills two hours of a live broadcast with karaoke content, cited military events as the secret to his varied song choices. He shared an unusual anecdote, saying, "Because I served as a singer in the military band, I had to prepare event songs for each age group. At the base kindergarten graduation, I sang 10CM's 'Phone-sert.'"
WOODZ, who possesses outstanding vocal ability, surprisingly revealed he graduated from a practical dance department in high school, drawing attention. WOODZ said, "Dance is all about energy," and launched into a wild dance parade. 10CM, who watched his dance, acknowledged, "It fits a dance department," while also joking, "Come back as a rock star," causing everyone to burst into laughter. WOODZ then shook the stage with intense rock spirit with the title track "NA NA NA (na na na)" from his new album.
Box-office actor Lee Dong-hwi appeared in alien makeup as his character from the upcoming film Method acting, stirring the audience. Lee Dong-hwi delivered a standout performance with vocal prowess that was not overshadowed by the shocking visuals, staging a rendition of 'Stars' from the musical Les Misérables that drew a standing ovation and encore requests. Lee Dong-hwi said, "There were many classes in school where we sang musical pieces and I also took vocal lessons. I sang this song to prove to my parents that their money on lessons wasn't wasted."
Even amid candid talk, Lee Dong-hwi's alien makeup continued to make an impression. 10CM asked Lee Dong-hwi, "I plan not to cry even once until the end of today's recording," and requested he perform a tearful method acting in his stead. Lee Dong-hwi replied, "Wouldn't that make things worse because of me?" then immediately gathered his emotions and delivered cheerful laughter until the end.
Melomance's Kim Min-seok visited The Seasons despite a rough throat to join 10CM for the final broadcast. 10CM, hiding his gratitude, asked, "Why have you been following me around so much lately?" Kim Min-seok replied, "Though you seem cool on the outside, you're warm inside, so juniors naturally follow you," prompting a warm reaction.
Kim Min-seok, who appeared in the early days of 10CM's Pat-Pat in September last year, marveled at 10CM, who has become the longest-serving MC, saying, "Even his gaze is different from back then. I felt nervous then, but now he exudes composure." Kim Min-seok proved himself a devoted viewer of The Seasons, saying, "I liked that he showed many unexpected sides while hosting for six months." For his final performance, Kim Min-seok sang 10CM's "That's not it" to show his respect for the senior artist.
Daybreak's Lee Won-seok, Lee Ji-hyung and Soran's Go Young-bae, close friends inseparable from 10CM, also joined as final guests. Lee Won-seok said, "On the last episode, the MC's real close friends showed up," mentioning 'Lee Young-ji-Na Young-seok PD', 'Park Bo Gum-IU' and others. 10CM asked, "Are you saying you are on the same level as those people?" and Go Young-bae quipped, "Shouldn't I think I need to work harder as an MC?" delivering a self-deprecating line that sparked laughter.
A tribute video honoring 10CM, who set a new record as The Seasons' longest-serving MC, was also revealed. Of the 25 episodes, 10CM did 85 collaboration stages, and Lee Won-seok acknowledged, "Not just anyone can be an MC," adding, "It's meaningful that an indie musician hosted a terrestrial music program. He gave the next generation great courage," offering his respect. Lee Ji-hyung referred to the 'Indie 30th anniversary life music' segment, adding, "The fact that 10CM introduced acts and performed together is deeply meaningful." Go Young-bae placed 10CM center stage after he had given his all and encouraged big applause, and together they performed "Hot goodbye" and delivered their final farewell.
Afterward, 10CM switched to work mode and presented a special concert for the live audience and viewers at home. The hit-rich 10CM set fired up the final Friday night with back-to-back performances of "Phone-sert," "Do you like spring," "Gradation," "Secret dating" and "Reaching you."
Starting with an appearance on Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook, 10CM became the most frequent guest on KBS late-night music programs over the past 15 years, and went on to meet viewers for 25 episodes as The Seasons MC. He expressed, "I'm not sad today but happy because I can finish with the pride of being the longest-serving MC," and announced that his successor will be Sung Si Kyung, asking for much anticipation and support for The Seasons to continue.
