Broadcaster Jang Seongkyu expressed frustration over unpaid appearance fees from MBN's "The Great Show: Taekwon."
On the 6th, Jang Seongkyu said, "I was upset because I couldn't receive my appearance fee, but knowing the broadcaster is taking this seriously gives me hope."
He went on, "All of our performers worked hard, and I hope they receive the promised appearance fees, and I also hope the prize money is delivered to the winner Kwon Youngin, who trusted the show and participated. I hope it remains the great show its name suggests, not a scam show," he said.
Along with this, he posted a screenshot of an article saying MBN's "The Great Show: Taekwon" has been embroiled in controversy over unpaid appearance fees and the winner's prize money.
It is reported that settlements have not been made for all participants, including hosts Jang Seongkyu and Na Tae Joo and judge Park Kaliin. In addition, the final winner Kwon Youngin reportedly did not receive the 10 million won prize that should have been paid. In response to the performers' protests, the broadcaster reportedly replied that the issue lies with the external production company.
