Director Jang Hang-jun is drawing attention as his film The King's Warden surpassed 10 million viewers, and the candid evaluation of his daughter revealed on a past broadcast is receiving renewed attention.
The King's Warden surpassed a cumulative audience of 10 million on the afternoon of March 6, its 31st day since release, becoming the top-grossing film of 2026. The work joined King and the Clown, Masquerade, and The Admiral: Roaring Currents as the fourth historical film in box office history to reach 10 million viewers, reinvigorating theaters.
Along with this, an episode about director Jang Hang-jun's family revealed on a past broadcast is being reexamined. On MBC's Omniscient Interfering View, which aired in 2023, director Jang Hang-jun appeared as a guest, and at the 'Jang Hang-jun's night' prepared by comedienne Song Eun I, his wife, writer Kim Eun-hee, and daughter Yoon-seo joined him.
At the time, Song Eun I asked Yoon-seo, "Have you ever heard people say, 'Mom helped you' when you write?" and writer Kim Eun-hee firmly drew the line, saying, "Our styles don't match."
