The group ITZY showcased their 'performance queen' side with the 'THAT'S A NO NO' stage performed on their new world tour.
From Feb. 13 to 15, ITZY's third world tour, ITZY 3RD WORLD TOUR 'TUNNEL VISION', held over three days at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, drew praise while boosting the affection of MIDZY (the fandom). In particular, the performance of 'THAT'S A NO NO', a track from the mini album IT'z ME released in March 2020 that fans had longed for, was revealed for the first time and brought the on-site atmosphere to a peak.
The members expressed the mambo-ton rhythm and an addictive melody with their refreshing vocal power and dynamic choreography marked by clear control of intensity, capturing attention. On stage ITZY exploded with energy and brightly shone as 'performance queens.' The audience was drawn into ITZY's uniquely trendy and fresh charm, making it hard to believe it was a song released about six years ago, and thunderous cheers erupted.
JYP Entertainment on Feb. 23 released two versions of the 'THAT'S A NO NO' video — a full cam and a concert cam — from the 'TUNNEL VISION' concert on ITZY's official social media channels, and recently Ryu Jin, Chaeryeong and Yeji sequentially uploaded short-form content of dance highlight sections to respond to the support. The comment section overflowed with praise such as "This is ITZY," "proud and astonishing skill," "goosebumps all over from the moment they appeared," and "ITZY power boosting a 6-year-old song," and the combined views of the YouTube videos surpassed 6 million as of the afternoon of the 5th, drawing a steep upward curve. The videos are also standing out across various indicators such as YouTube's domestic trending music and popular music video weekly and daily charts, gaining popularity.
'THAT'S A NO NO' also showed a presence on domestic and international music charts. It entered Melon's daily chart at No. 961 on the 2nd, rose to No. 660 on the 3rd and No. 599 on the 4th, and since Feb. 28 the cumulative number of listeners and cumulative plays have each increased by about 1,000 people and 10,000 plays daily. On the global streaming platform Spotify, streams in February surged 12-fold compared with January, showing a noticeable rise.
ITZY, which successfully demonstrated its 'performance queen' power by reexamining the 2020 release 'THAT'S A NO NO' on the new world tour, will carry out overseas performances as part of the tour beginning in April in Melbourne. They are scheduled to visit Sydney, Auckland, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Bangkok and Manila through July. Prior to that, Yuna will expand her activities by debuting as a solo artist on March 23. The trailer video for Yuna's solo debut album Ice Cream, released on the 2nd, ranked No. 2 on YouTube Trending Worldwide as of the 1st local time.
