The group CORTIS (CORTIS) achieved double million-seller status with their debut album.
On Mar. 5, Circle Chart released its latest weekly album chart (tracking period: Feb. 22-28), showing that CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho)'s debut record COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES surpassed cumulative sales of 2 million copies. As of now, only two K-pop groups, including CORTIS, have recorded a double million-seller with a debut album.
COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES has continued to see steady sales even after its initial-week sales tracking period following its release in Sep. last year. Looking at the timing of reaching 500,000 copies (Sep. 2025), 1 million copies (Nov. 2025) and 2 million copies (Mar. 2026), the group's popularity appears to remain strong over time. The standard edition and the Weverse edition, as well as various versions such as Singing Bowl, LP (vinyl), and CORTIS Ball, have sold out in moments each time they were restocked, showing long-term affection.
Their long-running popularity is also evident on Billboard's latest charts (Mar. 7), a U.S. music trade publication. COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES has remained on major album charts, including the world albums chart, for 25 consecutive weeks. In particular, on top album sales, which tracks physical album sales, it rose nine spots from the previous week to settle at No. 24, marking a second consecutive week of climbing the chart.
Recently they became the first K-pop act to headline a featured event during the National Basketball Association's All-Star week, and they sang the insert song "Mention Me" from Sony Pictures Animation's new film GOAT, among large-scale performances and media appearances that helped provoke fan interest.
Their unvarnished daily lives and behind-the-stage content also played a major role in bringing in new fandom. The highest view count on the team's official YouTube channel approaches 8 million views, and there are 37 clips with over 1 million views (excluding shorts).
CORTIS is delighting fans with an unusual collaboration by debuting the lyrics of the new track YOUNGCREATORCREW, revealed as a surprise at their U.S. shows, in HANCOM's typing practice service Hancom Taja's Acid Rain game and online handwriting content. They are scheduled to make a comeback in Apr.
