Singer Park Jae-beom spoke about his feelings at the time 16 years after leaving 2PM.
On the 5th a new video titled "The song that changed Park Jae-beom's life" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Eyes Magazine'.
That day Park Jae-beom spoke in an interview format and answered questions. At that time the host speculated, "You covered Usher's songs at a 2010 fan meeting and again in 2012. You were active as an idol then went back to the U.S., and then resumed activities; you must have felt anxious then."
In response Park Jae-beom said, "I wasn't anxious at all. I only felt sorry and apologetic."
Earlier Park Jae-beom debuted as a member of 2PM in September 2008 and was greatly loved for songs such as '10 out of 10' and 'Again & Again,' but after criticism arose that a past written post might have insulted Korea he left 2PM and went to the United States.
Recalling that time Park Jae-beom said, "In any case I inconvenienced and harmed many people. But I truly wasn't anxious. I live as things flow. I accept and do my best in the given situation, so I wasn't anxious."
Park Jae-beom received a laptop as a gift from a fan in Seattle, and later posted cover videos. He explained, "That was the reason I could make a comeback. I filmed a cover in the bathroom with the gifted MacBook, and that video got 3 million views in one day. That led to offers and provided an opportunity to be active."
Hearing this the host said, "If I were you then, Jae-beom, I think I might have quit music," to which Park Jae-beom replied, "I'm not the type to fear being criticized. I'm the type to do things freely. Of course I don't do things that rudely harm someone. I'm not a rude person. But I don't follow other people's prejudices, standards, rules, or the idea that 'a singer should be like this.'"
Meanwhile after leaving 2PM Park Jae-beom lived in the United States, then returned to Korea after news of a film appearance and signing with a new agency. After beginning activities as a solo singer Park Jae-beom founded labels such as AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC and pursued various endeavors; he currently established More Vision and is active in several fields, including producing the idol group Longshot.
