DKZ member Giseok marked a successful musical debut with "Sunny Ten."
Giseok played the male lead "Junho" in the musical "Sunny Ten," which was staged on the 5th at JTN Art Hall 1 in Daehangno, Seoul.
"Sunny Ten" is a retro jukebox musical that reinterprets familiar hits with a modern sensibility and has been consistently loved for its stylish direction and rich numbers.
In the play, Junho is a walking Murphy's law whose every endeavor goes awry. Junho, a broadcasting station PD, must win the heart of the director general's daughter Hyeyoung within ten days to secure a program bearing his name.
That day, Giseok enhanced the play's immersion by delicately portraying Junho's emotional line, alternating between wit and gravity. In particular, Giseok proved his potential as a "musical prospect" with not only stable live singing skills but also outstanding stage manners that naturally elicited audience responses.
After successfully finishing the first performance, Giseok said through his agency, "It feels like the casting news was just yesterday, but already the first performance is over. I felt a lot of expectation and nervousness, but thanks to the fans who cheered for me, I gained great strength. I will not forget my gratitude and will continue to do my best at every remaining performance to keep showing good stages. Please give much love to Junho of 'Sunny Ten' and Giseok of DKZ."
Meanwhile, the musical "Sunny Ten," in which Giseok appears, will run at JTN Art Hall 1 in Daehangno, Seoul, through July 5.
