Singer Lee Sona was selected as the final winner 'Jin (眞)' on 'Miss Trot 4', and her husband, actor Kang Sang Jun, shared his feelings about attending his wife's victory with his mother-in-law.
On the broadcast of TV CHOSUN's entertainment program 'Miss Trot 4' on the 5th, contestant Lee Sona was chosen as the final winner 'Jin'. Lee Sona, having advanced to the TOP5 alongside Gil Ryeowon, Yoon Taehwa, Hong Seongyun, and Her Chanmi, recorded an overwhelming first place in the text vote and became the viewer-chosen owner of 'Jin'.
Especially, Lee Sona's family joined her at the 'Miss Trot 4' victory scene, adding to the emotion. At the moment Lee Sona's victory was announced, her mother and husband in the audience were captured together on camera. Among them, her husband was revealed to be actor Kang Sang Jun, drawing even more attention.
Regarding this, Kang Sang Jun told OSEN about his wife's participation in and win on 'Miss Trot 4', "We have encouraged and comforted each other, saying let's work hard on what we like, and we went through many eventful times, so I am moved to share such a wonderful moment," and added, "I want to sincerely thank those who have supported us so far."
Actually, Lee Sona and Kang Sang Jun, both born in 1991, met on a 2014 filming set and developed into a romantic relationship. After more than seven years of dating, the two held their wedding in 2021.
In the meantime, Kang Sang Jun debuted as an actor through the 2017 musical 'Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds'. He gained acting experience in various stage productions and made his full-fledged drama debut as a lead in the 2021 drama special 'Memory's Echo'. He drew attention by appearing in dramas including Marry My Husband, Flex x Cop, Doctor Slump, Dear Hyeri, and Beyond The Bar, and last year he also appeared in the Netflix series Cashero.
Lee Sona nurtured her singing dream while by Kang Sang Jun's side. Above all, she cared for her mother, who has battled Parkinson's disease for 20 years, and despite modest circumstances she held on to her dream of becoming a singer. At Lee Sona's victory, not only her family who were present but also the 'Miss Trot 4' viewers and the masters were moved to tears.
Kang Sang Jun added to the emotion as he comforted his mother-in-law, who had collapsed in tearful sobs while watching his daughter's victory. Through the broadcast, scenes of Kang Sang Jun taking care of his mother-in-law and becoming emotional together continue to be talked about. <
