On the 11th, Nam Bo-ra posted a video on her social media with the caption "Is this what pregnant skin is like? I'm so stressed." In the video, she stands before the camera in a plain look just after washing her face and candidly expressed, "There are only a handful of days since getting pregnant when my skin looked good. I feel like a complete slave to hormones." The video shows her skin with redness concentrated on her chin and both cheeks. Nam Bo-ra lamented, "This redness doesn't go away easily, so I'm stressed," but she also shared the skin-soothing products and care routine she used afterward and revealed that her skin calmed down somewhat.
Nam Bo-ra recently revealed her pregnancy preparation process on her YouTube channel Nam Bo-ra's life theater. She said, "I succeeded in getting pregnant two months after making a plan," and candidly discussed the health problems she experienced during that process. During a health checkup, although it was not cervical cancer, cells that can cause cervical cancer were found, and she suddenly underwent surgery. She explained, "After the cell removal surgery, it took about two months to fully recover."
She then began preparing seriously for pregnancy. Nam Bo-ra said, "I had necessary vaccinations after antibody tests, and my husband also had a health checkup," and added, "I managed my ovarian function by consistently taking supplements such as vitamin D, omega-3, folic acid and probiotics."
Now past 20 weeks of pregnancy, she said she faces several upcoming tests such as the gestational diabetes test and preeclampsia screening. Nam Bo-ra said, "They say if you pass each one like clearing a quest, before you know it you're at 40 weeks," and added, "My goal is to deliver a healthy baby."
She also shared her thoughts on becoming a mother. She said, "Now that I'm actually pregnant, it's much better than I expected. The arrival of a new life itself is a great blessing," and added, "I'm truly happy that it is the fruit of the person I love." She went on, "People might think parents give up a lot, but when you see a child growing up, I think you'll feel great joy and fulfillment as a mother," expressing her expectations. From skin changes to health issues, many have sent support for her frank sharing of the realistic difficulties of the pregnancy process.
Meanwhile, Nam Bo-ra married a businessman of the same age in May last year and is expecting her first child in June.
