Actor Gu Hye-sun spoke out about the controversy over the price of the hair roller she personally developed.
On the afternoon of the 5th, Gu Hye-sun posted on her social media her position on the high price of the recently released hair roller that has been criticized.
First, regarding the hair roller she developed herself, Gu Hye-sun said, "Unlike existing round hair rollers, this product eliminates more than 80% of the plastic. Also, compared to round hair rollers that tangle with hair and become contaminated, you can spread it out to easily remove hair, and it is durable so it can be used permanently."
Regarding criticism of the high price, she said, "The initial manufacturing quantity was not large, so the cost is high, and for this reason the price is currently on the high side, but we plan to offer discounts and other events gradually so that consumers do not feel a burden when purchasing."
Gu Hye-sun also encouraged purchases, saying, "Use it if you consider the environment."
The hair roller released by Gu Hye-sun was a product for which she personally came up with the idea and developed; on the official sales site it is currently being sold at 13,000 won for one product and 25,000 won for a set of two. Since most hair rollers sold on the market are priced at a few hundred won to around one thousand won, it has been criticized as "excessively expensive."
