Singer WOODZ (Cho Seung-yeon) proved his presence on music charts with his first full-length album released 13 years after his debut.
According to EDAM Entertainment, WOODZ's first full-length album Archive. 1, released at 6 p.m. on the 4th, has received a hot response after entering major domestic music charts such as Melon, Bugs, and Jini immediately after its release.
In particular, on Melon, all tracks from the album succeeded in charting on the HOT100 (30 days after release·100 days after release) chart. The title track "Human Extinction" recorded a peak of 5th on the HOT100 (30 days after release) chart, and the pre-release track "CINEMA" also rose to 8th, showing balanced interest across the album.
Also, other album tracks such as "00:30," "NA NA NA," "Super Lazy," "Harusal-i," "Hwageun," and "Flight" all ranked high on the charts, proving broad listener response. In addition, the title and main album tracks have entered the charts on major domestic music platforms such as Bugs and Jini, demonstrating their presence.
Responses continue on global charts as well. As of 7 a.m. on the 5th, Archive. 1 ranked 2nd in Thailand, 4th in Taiwan, and 8th in Hong Kong on the iTunes top albums chart, entering the charts in nine countries and regions. In addition, "Human Extinction" and "CINEMA" also charted on the Thailand iTunes top songs chart.
Archive. 1 is WOODZ's first full-length album and the first record marking a new beginning for the artist in his 13th year since debut. It was completed by concentrating the musical colors he has built up over a long time and the things he likes and does well, and he participated in lyric writing, composition and producing for all tracks. With a total of 17 tracks, it covers a wide genre spectrum including rock ballad, pop punk, jazz and alternative R&B, vividly capturing WOODZ's musical world.
The double title track "Human Extinction" is a song that conveys a philosophical message about the duality of light and humans, and its driving band sound leaves a strong impression. The other title track, "NA NA NA," is a track that expresses the feeling of falling in love with refreshing vocals and an addictive bass riff.
Having raised expectations with pre-release tracks "CINEMA" and "Bloodline," WOODZ opens a new chapter in his career by presenting a more expanded musical world through this first full-length album.
Following the album release, WOODZ plans to appear on music shows and engage in various content activities, and today (the 5th) he will first perform the double title tracks "Human Extinction" and "NA NA NA" on Mnet's "M Countdown." He will then begin the 2026 WOODZ WORLD TOUR "Archive. 1" starting with a concert at Incheon Inspire Arena on the 14th, continuing his global activities.
Meanwhile, WOODZ's first full-length album Archive. 1 can be heard on various music sites, and the music video for the title track "Human Extinction" can be viewed on the official YouTube channel.
