Singer Park Ki-young faced a crisis during recording as a clash of opinions and poor condition overlapped.
On the 5th broadcast of KBS2TV variety show "Across the Sea duet," a tense situation unfolded ahead of a busking performance.
That day Park Ki-young conveyed an opinion during rehearsal, saying "I think we need to tidy up the lyrics a bit." However, Dutch vocalist Wouter Hamel suddenly left his seat saying, "Our band wouldn't like that method," and the scene was instantly filled with tension.
As differences in opinions about rehearsal methods emerged, filming was eventually halted briefly. Officials and production staff in the studio also watched the situation and stopped recording to take time to sort things out.
On top of this, Park Ki-young's health issues compounded the situation. She complained of a sudden stomachache, saying "my stomach hurts," showed herself looking for painkillers and revealed a drop in condition. During consultations with the production team, Park Ki-young said her throat was swollen and her voice was almost gone, raising further concern.
The production team, having checked Park Ki-young's condition, was also tense. The production team worried deeply about whether to proceed with the performance, saying, "What should we do about tomorrow's performance? Should we perhaps cancel it?"
