On the 4th, Lee Hae young posted a photo on her social media with the words, Seoul feels like my lymph circulation is improving after returning. My eyes still need time, but my face feels somewhat reduced, so I am happy. She added, It seems it got worse because I pushed myself too hard after finishing the LA paintings and immediately exhibiting them, and said, My goal is to recover my health.
In the released photo, Lee Hae young is looking at the camera with a bright smile. Although swelling remained around her eyes, her expression was noticeably brighter than before, drawing attention.
Earlier, on the 18th of last month Lee Hae young revealed health problems, reporting lymphatic swelling around her eyes. At the time she said, An inflammation developed on my eyelid. The lymph around my eyes seems to be acting up again. It's not from crying but my eyes are very swollen, and she added, After overcoming a major illness there are sequelae and complications. Lee Hae young was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in 2021 and underwent partial lung resection surgery while continuing her battle. She later experienced health problems such as being hospitalized for cholelithiasis. Lymphedema can appear after cancer surgery or radiation therapy, and it is known to be accompanied by swelling, inflammation and pain.
