Singer Gina shared a recent update after a long time, drawing attention and speculation that she might be gearing up for a comeback.
On the 4th, Gina posted several photos on her social media with the short captions "On the move" and "Surprise?". In the released photos, Gina sits at a dining table with her long straight hair down, smiling brightly. In another photo, she sits in a cafe flashing a V sign and showed a leisurely daily life.
In particular, the photos also showed her dining at a Korean restaurant with actor Aden Cho, which drew attention. Aden Cho gained attention for voicing the role of Lumi in the Netflix animation "K-Pop Demon Hunters."
Gina also recently posted a photo wearing headphones in a recording studio with the phrases "Still a work in progress…" and "One track at a time…," sharing that she is working on music.
Some posts included photos that appear to be taken while traveling by car and showed Korean-language signs, leading to speculation that Gina is currently staying in Korea. With the addition of the recording studio photos, reactions such as "Is she trying to move again with music?" and "It seems she is preparing for a comeback" have emerged.
Gina debuted in 2010 with the digital single "Things I want to do if I get a lover" and was active with songs such as "I'll leave, live well," "Black & White," and "Top Girl." However, in 2016 she faced trial on charges of violating the Act on the Punishment of Acts Relating to the Brokerage of Commercial Sex and was fined 2 million won, after which she halted her activities. At the time, Gina explained that it was unrelated to financial compensation, but her explanation was not accepted.
Afterward, while staying abroad and keeping a low profile, she sent Chuseok greetings in Korean in 2025 and restarted social media activity to share updates. With the current visit to Korea and the music work photos, attention is focusing on whether Gina will again bring up the word "comeback".
