Formerly known as the 'Chungju man,' Kim Seon-tae surpassed 1 million subscribers just three days after launching his personal YouTube channel and grabbed the 'golden button.' He did not forget to offer thanks for this.
As of 7 p.m. on the 5th, Kim Seon-tae's YouTube channel surpassed 1 million subscribers. It is especially remarkable because the achievement came when there was only a single video on the channel.
In fact, the official YouTube channel for Chungju City that he had operated drew great attention by posting an outstanding number of subscribers among local government channels. But the situation changed when Kim Seon-tae left Chungju City Hall last month.
Afterward, he launched a personal YouTube channel under his own name, "Kim Seon-tae," embarking on a new challenge as a creator. As soon as the channel was revealed, subscribers who had cheered for the 'Chungju man' began to flock in, and the subscriber count increased rapidly.
Especially after the first greeting video was released, the upward trend became steeper. Hundreds of thousands of people came in within a day of the channel's opening, and in just three days he reached 1 million subscribers and earned the golden button. In the process, Kim Seon-tae even quickly surpassed the subscriber count of the official Chungju City YouTube channel where he had worked. Although the Chungju City channel, which once lost subscribers after Kim Seon-tae's departure, is currently recovering, the growth pace of his personal channel has exceeded that.
On the same day, Kim Seon-tae personally expressed his thanks on social media. He said, "Thank you for 1 million subscribers. Leave your questions in the comments," indicating he would continue communicating with subscribers.
Earlier, in an interview with OSEN, Kim Seon-tae showed a humble attitude about the channel's explosive growth. He said, "I am grateful for the much more love than I expected," while cautiously adding, "It feels a bit overheated right now. It could be a bubble, so I try not to be complacent."
Kim Seon-tae obtained the golden button with just one video. There is growing interest in what kind of content his path, chosen from civil servant to YouTuber, will lead to next
