"Brave Detective 4" chases the truth behind a murder that took place at a closed motel.
The episode airing on the 6th on tcast E Channel "Brave Detective 4" (directed by Lee Ji-seon) episode 74 features Detective Lee Seung-nam, who grants to reveal his investigation log. The entertainer Eom Ji-yoon also returns as a guest.
The episode begins with a 112 report that a maternal uncle who lived alone had not been contacted for more than two weeks. It was confirmed that the uncle had been staying at a closed motel in a certain area. When the tightly closed motel door was forced open, a severely decomposed body was found right in front of the main entrance. The body showed signs of blunt force trauma, and one cheekbone was broken, indicating the face had been struck violently.
The investigative team immediately tracked down the perpetrator, but the case did not unfold easily. The victim had no known grudges, and there were no signs of the interior being ransacked to suggest a robbery. Moreover, the motel had long been closed and all the CCTV cameras were turned off. Who on earth broke into the closed motel and murdered the man?
The investigative team confirmed the victim's final movements through nearby CCTV that covered the motel's main entrance. The victim entered the motel three weeks before the body was discovered. And on the same day, another man, not the victim, was captured leaving the motel. The detective immediately recognized the man's identity upon seeing him covering his body with an umbrella and pulling his hat down. Eom Ji-yoon said, "It's so bizarre," and could not contain her shock as the reality of the case was revealed.
