Hollywood actor Kaley Cuoco revealed a 'chilling' behind-the-scenes story about being snubbed by fellow actor Rose McGowan when she appeared in the drama "Charmed" 20 years ago. The fallout continues after she mentioned a real name.
Appearing recently on Dax Shepard's podcast "Armchair Expert," Kaley Cuoco confessed she was "really scared" as she recalled joining season 8, the final season of the popular 2005 drama "Charmed."
Cuoco, then a 21-year-old newcomer, was brought into a gallery shoot that felt like a "family photo" with Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs, who already showcased strong teamwork. Cuoco explained the situation at the time, saying, "I walked onto the set so nervous. It was lunchtime and the actors were eating in the corner."
In Cuoco's memory, the attitudes of the two senior actors were starkly different. She expressed gratitude, saying, "Alyssa Milano ran up to me the moment she saw me and gave me the biggest hug in the world to welcome me. She was so kind and I will never forget that moment."
By contrast, Cuoco could not hide her disappointment about Rose McGowan. Cuoco candidly said, "Rose didn't seem very happy. I still don't know if she liked me." She added, "Joining a show in its final season after it had already been on for eight years was really strange, and I was terrified."
Cuoco also told The Independent in a recent interview, "The set was intense and hard. There were people who treated me really well, and there were people who didn't. I remember both sides very clearly," hinting at the 'power struggle' or chilly atmosphere at the time.
"Charmed" was a popular fantasy drama that aired from 1998 to 2006 and was known for frequent on-set conflicts, including lead actor Shannen Doherty leaving in season 3 after a feud with Alyssa Milano. Rose McGowan joined from season 4 to fill Doherty's vacancy.
Meanwhile, Kaley Cuoco later rose to worldwide stardom playing Penny in the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory," and is currently engaged to actor Tom Pelphrey and has a daughter.
