As armed clashes between the United States·Israel and Iran continue, concern is growing for former T-ara member Soyeon, who is living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
On Feb. 28, the United States and Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran aimed at cutting off support for anti-government protest forces and the source of its nuclear weapons development program, starting the U.S.-Israel–Iran war.
As Iran's retaliatory attack expands the flames of war across the Middle East, foreign ministers of Gulf countries such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Bahrain held an emergency meeting and strongly condemned Iran, warning that they could take military action.
With the risk of war growing across the Middle East, concern for expatriates living in the region is also rising. Among them, fans' worries are increasing for former T-ara member Soyeon, who is married to soccer player Cho Yu-min and is currently residing in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Amid fans' concerns, Soyeon has been calming herself by posting Bible verses on her social media story such as "Jesus said again, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life,'" "He also gave me the strength to win," "If you do not fall into the sea, if you do not climb the mountain, if you do not live according to the word, if you do not live as a child, you cannot experience the grace in both hands," and "God's grace is pursuing my refinement."
Meanwhile, Soyeon and Cho Yu-min married on Nov. 2022. When Cho Yu-min transferred to Sharjah FC, they began living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
