Artist WOODZ (WOODZ, Cho Seung-yeon) releases his first full-length album, "Archive. 1," today (the 4th).
WOODZ will release his first full-length album, "Archive. 1," on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 4th and begin full-scale comeback activities.
"Archive. 1" is WOODZ's first full-length album in 13 years since his debut and the first record announcing a new start. He condensed the musical colors he has built up through long activity and the things WOODZ likes and does well into this album, and increased the completeness with songs that each have different charms across a total of 17 tracks. WOODZ, who participated in writing, composing and producing all tracks, said the album is intended as a starting point that announces a full-fledged leap forward after the previous "preparation stage."
The album contains a total of 17 tracks, starting with "00:30," and including "Super Lazy," "Harusali," "Hwageun," "Human Extinction," "Flight," "Bloodline," "Downtown," "STOP THAT," "NA NA NA," "Struggle," "BEEP," "Plastic," "GLASS," "CINEMA," "Samo," and "To My January." Not only in number of songs but also ranging from collaborations with overseas producers to rock ballad, pop punk, jazz, and alternative R&B genres with different charms, it previews WOODZ's wide musical spectrum.
Double title track "Human Extinction" is a song themed on the duality of light and humans. It poses a philosophical question about how to define humans between perfection and imperfection, and its racing band sound leaves a strong impression. The other title track, "NA NA NA," tells the story of someone who falls in love in an instant, featuring powerful, refreshing vocals and rhythm, driven by an addictive bass and guitar riff.
Earlier, WOODZ opened the gate to his first full-length album energetically with pre-release tracks "CINEMA" and "Bloodline," raising expectations. In particular, having established himself as a "trustworthy artist" by ranking No. 1 on major domestic annual music charts such as Melon with his self-composed song "Drowning," attention is focused on all tracks on the album beyond the title tracks. In fact, since "Drowning" was a track on mini album 5, "OO-LI (uri)," expectations are growing for the possibility of another hidden track being born on this full-length album as well.
In addition, the film "Slide Strum Mute" that allows fans to enjoy WOODZ's full-length album in another form opened on the 26th of last month, and even before its release surpassed 10,000 real-time reservations and ranked fourth in real-time reservation rate (as of 7 p.m. on the 25th). Stage greetings and post-screening Q&As also sold out all seats, continuing the hot response. Ahead of the release, on the 2nd he held a pre-listening session inviting fans, sharing the entire first full-length album with them first in a meaningful time.
Meanwhile, WOODZ will begin full-scale comeback activities through music shows and various content starting with the release of his first full-length album, "Archive. 1." He will then launch the "2026 WOODZ WORLD TOUR 'Archive. 1'" spanning 17 cities across Asia, Europe and Oceania, kicking off with a concert at Incheon Inspire Arena on the 14th and beginning his global activities in earnest.
