As Park Bom of the group 2NE1 unexpectedly raised drug allegations about her teammate Sandara Park, Sandara Park's side said the claims are "groundless."
According to the music industry on the 4th, Sandara Park's side is maintaining that Park Bom's claims are "completely untrue," while also expressing concern about Park Bom's current situation and seeking a response. Sandara Park currently has no exclusive agency, making an immediate official response difficult, according to reports.
However, having worked together as a team for a long time and feeling deep affection for Park Bom, they are said to be carefully considering a response to prevent Park Bom from facing greater trouble.
The day before, Park Bom posted a lengthy handwritten letter on her social media starting with "To the people," through her SNS (social networking service). Referring to Adderall, the medication that once stirred controversy, Park Bom said, "That is not a drug," emphasizing that she had taken it for treatment.
In the process, Park Bom claimed that when Sandara Park became embroiled in a drug case, they made her out to be a drug addict to cover it up. Park Bom said, "At the time, the medication called Adderall did not exist in Korea, and there were no related regulations." She then addressed her former agency YG Entertainment, saying, "Do not report that I used drugs I had not taken for 30 years in amounts exceeding the proper dosage," and added, "I feel like my soul is crying, so I am writing this."
