Actor Choo Young-Woo and Kim So Hyun star in the drama "The Love Doctor," which will return to living rooms after the Chuseok holiday.
According to OSEN reporting on the 4th, ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama "The Love Doctor" has been confirmed to premiere in October this year.
Originally, "The Love Doctor" had been scheduled to premiere in August and preparations for broadcast were underway. But as the programming schedule was extended, "The Love Doctor" will meet viewers in October, after the Chuseok holiday.
"The Love Doctor" tells the story of doctoral student Park Min Jae, who was a high school swimmer but lost one leg to illness, and master's student Im Yoo Jin, who lost her career path and wandered before entering a new path. It is expected to bring excitement to living rooms as a spicy, bitter and sweet romance that blossomed in a robotics lab.
In particular, "The Love Doctor" drew attention for bringing together Choo Young-Woo, whose stock has recently risen with "The Tale of Lady Ok" and "The Trauma Code: Heroes on call," and Kim So Hyun, who proved her acting ability through various works since her child actor days, including "The Moon Embracing the Sun," "I Miss You," "I Can Hear Your Voice," "The Tale of Nokdu," and "River Where the Moon Rises."
In the story, Choo Young-Woo plays doctoral student "Park Min Jae," who found a new life in robotics after his dream was cut off. Park Min Jae is a person who meets robotics at the end of despair and quietly continues his research. Because he is thoughtful and afraid of wounds, he is clumsy at expressing emotions, and when Im Yoo Jin appears before him, he faces a major change in his life.
Kim So Hyun plays Im Yoo Jin, a straightforward character who does not hesitate to express her feelings for Min Jae, presenting a fresh, heart-fluttering charm. She will realistically portray not only the excitement but also the worries and frustrations about career paths and the growth of youth taking on new challenges, offering viewers much empathy.
Also, actor Kim Min, who left an impression with solid acting chemistry with Yoo Hai Jin and Park Jihoon in the film "The King's Warden," which is about to surpass 10 million viewers, appears as the robotics lab's youngest member "Choi Han Kyul," raising expectations that the drama will become even richer.
Furthermore, the drama is attracting more curiosity because it is a new work directed with delicate direction by director Ahn Pan Seok, who produced "White Tower," "Something in the Rain" and "One Spring Night," and written by writer Min Hyo Jeong, who penned "Rooftop Cat" and "Full House," taking on a script 21 years after "Our approach to coping with separation."
"The Love Doctor," which began filming in November last year, completed its roughly four-month-long production and finished filming on the 28th of last month. With the October slot confirmed, the remaining period will be focused on postproduction work to present a more complete work.
