Comedian Cho Hye-lyeon expressed a longing to be a full-time housewife.
On the 3rd, a new video titled "Which is harder?" was released on the YouTube channel "EOO Shop".
That day, Kwon Ddodd asked Cho Hye-lyeon and Noh Sa-yeon, "If you could go back in time, would you be a full-time housewife or work?" and Cho Hye-lyeon said, "If I could go back in time and choose just one thing, I really want to try being a full-time housewife. Our children were so young when I was so busy," she said.
She continued, "So I think I didn't listen closely to what those children were thinking or wanting. I always remember coming home exhausted as a mom and them saying, 'Mom, please open your eyes and look at the drawing with me,'" she recalled.
Cho Hye-lyeon lamented, "If I read a picture book for a moment they would immediately fall asleep, so I would say, 'Open your eyes!!' I once cried because I missed those times so much."
Noh Sa-yeon choked up, "I'm getting teary now too when I think about the kids' feelings," and Cho Hye-lyeon said, "Now that the kids are in their 20s, I miss those times so much. If (then) I had been able to take a break from broadcasting with the assurance my job would be secure, how wonderful would it have been to spend those few years with the kids."
Noh Sa-yeon said, "That's what we regret the most," and Cho Hye-lyeon said, "Conversely, those who live as full-time housewives would be different from us. They would want to be working moms."
Kwon Ddodd said, "I think I would work even if I had a baby later. Thinking ahead, I'm afraid my career would be interrupted," and Cho Hye-lyeon sympathized, "Right. We had those fears too, so we couldn't quit."
Meanwhile, Cho Hye-lyeon married in 1990 and had one son and one daughter but announced a divorce in 2012. She remarried in 2014 to a businessman two years her junior.
