'Misuda' alumna and broadcaster Eva Popiel has become a citizen of the Republic of Korea.
On the 3rd, Eva Popiel shared on her personal social media that she attended the certificate of nationality awarding ceremony. She posted the message, with a taegeukgi emoji, "Finally, thank you!!"
The released photo showed Eva receiving Korean nationality at the immigration office located in Yangju. Attention focused on her as she celebrated becoming a citizen of the Republic of Korea next to the taegeukgi.
Born in 1981, Eva Popiel was born to a British father and a Japanese mother. She came to Korea to study in 2005 and gained popularity the following year when she appeared on KBS 2TV's 'Misuda'.
Eva Popiel, who married a Korean in 2010 and obtained permanent residency, gave birth to sons in 2013 and 2016. In April last year she also reported that she had passed the naturalization interview.
