Kim Seon-tae, who was active as the 'Chungju man,' opened a new YouTube channel and shared his thoughts on the high level of interest.
On the afternoon of the 4th, Kim Seon-tae spoke with OSEN by phone about the rapidly growing number of YouTube subscribers, saying, "I am grateful for the unexpected amount of love, and it feels a bit like a bubble," and laughed.
On the high level of attention, he said, "It is a somewhat overheated situation right now. It seems there is some bubble, so I don't think it's the time to be laughing yet. I'm trying not to be complacent."
If things move quickly, it is expected that he will surpass the Chungju-si YouTube channel's subscriber count (770,000) sometime today (the 4th). In response, Kim Seon-tae said, "Actually, I want the Chungju-si channel to do well. First, I created it, and it is a channel like a mother who made me who I am. There is no meaning in beating the Chungju-si channel's subscriber count. I hope we both do well," he said, revealing his true feelings.
In particular, when Kim Seon-tae opened his YouTube channel, he added the description "I promote everything in the world." When asked about future plans, he hinted, "I haven't decided exactly yet, but I plan to try a variety of things without being tied to one thing. Whether it's people, objects, intangible or tangible things, systems, or public-interest matters, I plan to proceed without deciding in advance."
Meanwhile, Kim Seon-tae submitted his civil servant resignation last month and became free. It was reported that he received a job offer from the Blue House, but he dismissed it as "about a tea time," and by opening his YouTube channel he chose a life as a creator.
In his first YouTube video, he expressed his aspiration, saying, "I wanted to make more money. Now that I am 40, I wanted to show my abilities before it gets any later. Of course, I don't know whether it will go well or not. It could fail, but I want to establish myself as a YouTuber."
