Broadcaster Kim Sung-Ju was selected as an exemplary taxpayer.
Kim Sung-Ju received a commendation from the deputy prime minister and Minister of Finance and Economy at the ceremony commemorating the 60th Taxpayer Day held at the Gangnam Tax Office on the 3rd.
The exemplary taxpayer award is given to individuals and corporations that have faithfully fulfilled their tax obligations, contributed to securing national finances, and helped establish an advanced taxpaying culture. Kim Sung-Ju was highly evaluated for practicing thorough self-discipline and faithful tax payment in his daily life, matching the neat and sincere image he has shown through his broadcasting activities.
Through his agency, Kim Sung-Ju said, "I only fulfilled the duties that are natural as a citizen of Korea, so I am just grateful to receive this certificate of commendation. I will consider this an award received on behalf of the many people who quietly and faithfully fulfill their duties in their respective positions."
Meanwhile, Kim Sung-Ju debuted in 2000 as an MBC announcer through open recruitment, and after turning freelance he has been loved as a national MC by building a stable hosting ability and a trustworthy image across genres from sports broadcasting to music, entertainment, and competition programs.
