Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon panicked over stocks that plunged overnight.
On the 4th, Hong Seok-cheon posted on his social account, "Last night I asked the moon for a wish," adding, "I guess I should have wished that the stocks wouldn't fall."
This referred to the situation in which the KOSPI plunged by the largest margin in history as geopolitical tensions rose amid recent war fallout between the U.S.·Israel and Iran.
In response, Hong Seok-cheon despaired, "Completely ruined this morning ㅠ," and expressed his grief, "I wished for health but I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack ㅠㅠ," evoking sympathy.
Meanwhile, on the 3rd, Hong Seok-cheon announced the marriage news of his adopted daughter on SBS' Same Bed, Different Dreams - You Are My Destiny. He said, "My daughter is turning 30 and is set to marry in January next year," receiving many congratulations. But shortly after the happy news was shared, he revealed the unfortunate update of a "stock disaster," adding to the regret.
